![]() ![]() setting the game as a prequel to Fable 1 would be a perfect place to tell a story. For instance, don't post that you would want to see Albion's history revisited. A report last week claimed that Microsoft is working on Fable 4. However, I would LIKE to keep this thread focused on ideas relating to the FUTURE of the Fable world. Step 1: Decide on the Moral of the Tale Money cant buy happiness Absence makes the heart grow fonder What goes around comes around Necessity is the mother. Just some of my ideas, I'd love to here what some other people think. Swords would probably be a bit obsolete, but could still be a plausible option for heroes. Of course, magic would still have a place, as would monsters. By this I mean the rise of modern cities, a focus more on diesel/fuel power over steam power, and science. To me, this seems like a logical progression of things-we wouldn't see anything TOO out of place from Fable 3 even.įor Fable 5, I actually picture a world similar to Final Fantasy 7's. The animals race each other and the hare is so far ahead that he takes a nap. There should be a prologue where in her last moments of strength she activates the spire, destroying it (as its now very old). Being hundreds of years old, staying in the spire being slowly corrupted by its power over the years. One fable that most people have heard of is called The Tortoise and The Hare. I think Teresa should become the villain. The moral of the story teaches you something about how you should act or shows you a different way to think about something. Magic would still exist, as would monsters, it would just be taking place further along in history. The lesson at the end of a fable is called the moral. I also see the the fashions being a bit out of style with WWI times, being more 1880's and 90's than 1910's. Trench warfare, rifles that still aren't great, and, since it's fable, still leave room for swords. The stories we have all heard as a kid Example. I see Fable 4 as working in a bit of a World War I time period. 1 Myths, Folktales, Legends, and Fables Be an Expert 2 Oral Tradition Stories handed down through generations using word of mouth. Assuming that the next two Fables continue the trend of taking place in the future, what would they be like? I doubt will have a Fable world that resembles the 21st century, but we could get close. It is, I suppose, early Victorian, but Regency would be more accurate in my opinion. Direct Instruction: (10:30-10:45) I am going to read a fable titled The Fox and the Crane and while I am reading I want you to think about the length of the story, the characters, and the purpose/ lesson of this story. Not story ideas or game mechanics or anything, but rather aesthetics. Fables have special characteristics that make them different from other fiction stories. Now, I know that Fable 3 has just come out, but I've already begun thinking of broad ideas for Fables 4 and 5. ![]()
